Is the Owlet Dream Duo safe?
Yes, when used as instructed, the Dream Duo is safe for daily use with your healthy baby. We have engaged in rigorous testing to ensure the Dream Sock and Owlet Cam are safe for all families. Each and every component used in the Dream Sock has been selected for its quality and the manufacturing process is carefully overseen.
Can my spouse/partner and I both monitor our child via our smartphones?
Multiple caregivers can access Dream Sock readings via the Owlet App from their separate smartphones, but they will need to share access to the same account.
Is wifi required to use the Owlet Dream Duo? What happens if my wifi goes out?
WiFi is required to view live readings and video from the Dream Duo in the Owlet Dream App. The Cam requires a WiFi connection to stream video and audio to your smartphone. The Dream Sock and Base Station connect via Bluetooth. The Base Station then connects to your phone via WiFi to give you live readings of displayed sleep-related metrics. WiFi is required if you would like to use the Owlet Dream App to view these live readings, or to access the sleep content and expert tips. In the case that WiFi is not working, the Base Station will still prompt with music and lights when your baby needs assistance in getting back to sleep.
How long do the batteries last?
The Owlet Dream Duo has wireless drop-and-go charging that allows you to get an 8-hour charge in under 20 minutes, and a full 16-hour charge in 90 minutes!
