I struggled with postpartum anxiety after I had my son. I didn't sleep for three days after he was born just so I could watch him and make sure he was ok and still breathing. He slept in our room in his own bed and I’d watch him on the baby monitor that was just steps away from my bed.
This went on for about 3 months until one night when I got ready to move him to his crib, I noticed his eyes were open. I said his name and got no response. I put my hand on his belly but didn't feel him breathing. I panicked and screamed his name and grabbed him. He was suddenly ok and responsive but I was shaken and couldn't sleep that night. The very next day I went out and bought the Owlet Smart Sock. Since then I've slept a lot better. I've been able to move him to his own room. I like that I can check the app whenever my anxiety sets just seeing the live readings and knowing that it works helps me.
