Sunday morning around 4AM my biggest fear happened. Cash stopped breathing. I had finished feeding him and we were putting him back to bed and his Owlet Smart Sock notified us that his oxygen level had dropped. It was the fastest few minutes ever. We flipped on the lights and Luke began to do CPR while I called 911. This was the most terrifying moment of our lives. 911 walked me through CPR and he began to breathe again and the EMT arrived shortly after. Cash is doing fine now and they sent us by ambulance to Vanderbilt for 24 hour monitoring.
So I’m typing this while watching him sleep in a hospital room while Luke is at home due to the COVID-19 restrictions. I can honestly say this has been the scariest 24 hours. I’ve never cried more and I’ve replayed that moment in my head over and over. I debated posting this but I am so glad that we had the Owlet to notify us to go check on Cash. It is a must-have registry item.
